Closure is an Act 3 companion quest for Varric in Dragon Age II.

Acquisition

After either letting Varric keep the Lyrium Idol shard or giving it to Sandal, at the end of the quest Haunted.

Walkthrough

Head back to the Hanged Man to speak with Varric.

• He will thank Hawke for "watching his back" if the shard was given to Sandal, admitting that he doesn't know what came over him in Bartrand's estate.
• If he was allowed to keep the shard however, he will promise to be careful with it.

Result

If you let Varric keep the shard:

• If Varric is a Friend then Varric: friendship (+10).
• If Varric is a Rival:
  • Diplomatic or Aggressive response: Varric: rivalry (+10)
  • Humorous response: Varric: rivalry (+5)

Giving the aggressive answer ("Glad you agree") if you did not let him keep the shard results in Varric: rivalry (+10) Xbox 360
