“She does that. Riddles, riddles, riddles, oh, I am a rock.”

Involvement
Dragon Age: The Veilguard
During The Waiting Stone, Rook and Lace Harding traverse the Deep Roads to meet Stalgard, Harding's Kal-Sharok contact. The Veilguard meet Stalgard at a Kal-Sharok outpost called Isana Negat. Stalgard seems knowledgeable about Harding and her companions and says Kal-Sharok is not as blind as Orzammar wishes. When Harding asks about the person who was touched by the Ancients, Stalgard replies that "she" has been waiting for her. While Stalgard expounds about the history of Kal-Sharok, he guides Harding through the Deep Roads to The Oracle's Lyrium Sanctum.
There, Stalgard reveals that The Oracle and the person Harding is seeking is actually Valta, who has become a revered figure in Kal-Sharok. Unfortunately, Harding and her team are attacked by a metal construct called Wrath of the Stone. After defeating it, Valta tells Harding that she is the target of the Stone's fury and to look within for answers. Harding is frustrated by the ambiguous advice she receives and presses for more answers but Valta's presence has already left the Lyrium Sanctum. Stalgard comments that The Oracle's guidance is often ambiguous and puzzling.
Stalgard was part of the Kal-Sharok patrol sent to guard the Deep Roads of Isana Negat. While on patrol, Stalgard began hearing weeping and whispering and went to investigate it but disappeared. Soon the rest of Stalgard's team began hearing it as well. It is revealed the source of the weeping was a Titan shade that looks like a red, crystallized version of Lace Harding. The Titan shade began abducting Stalgard's patrol and encapsulating them in stone.
During The Heart of the Titan, Harding and Rook rescued the missing dwarves, including Stalgard. Stalgard worried about the Veilguard's safety when he was rescued. Although his memory is cloudy from the abduction, he recalls that time lost meaning while trapped in stone and there was a voice in his ear, murmuring in despair. Stalgard believes the voice is a shade that is a rot within the Stone and fears it may consume Harding, but Harding is determined to confront it, and the confrontation eventually leads the team to fight a manifestation of the Titan's anger called the Titan's Shade. Harding eventually defeats the Shade and Stalgard reports what transpired to Kal-Sharok. Stalgard later sends a letter to Lace Harding detailing his experience with the Titan Shade.
Stalgard and his sister Durra.
If Harding chose to cope with the Titan Shade with compassion, she will wish to nurture her connection with the Kal-Sharok dwarves. During The Eternal Hymn, Harding and Rook return to Isana Negat to meet with Stalgard and his sister Durra, a historian and a steward of Kal-Sharok's memories. Banter between Durra and Stalgard reveals that Durra is meant to meet with the Shapers from Orzammar to share news of recent events, although Durra believes the Orzammar Assembly will ignore everything Kal-Sharok has to say.
When Harding and Rook arrive for the meeting, Durra reveals that she and Stalgard want to learn more about the Titans and the dwarves' past. Harding briefly shares isatunoll with Stalgard and his sister; Stalgard is awed by the vastness of the Titans. Both Harding and the Kal-Sharok dwarves are grateful for the experience, and Harding concludes that although they will carry the Titans in their hearts, it is now the time of the dwarves.
Should Harding survive Isle of the Gods, Stalgard will appear during the Battle of Minrathous at the Divine's Manor, where he will urge Rook to keep Lace Harding safe.
