Sloth demons are malefic spirits that can take on various forms. Being one of the most insidious creatures from the Fade—these entities can alter their form and sometimes their environment to their will. They deceive their victims in order to generate the feeling upon which they feed: sloth.

Dragon Age: Origins
- A sloth demon in bereskarn form is encountered in the Magi Origin during the Harrowing. He offers to help Mouse take on a bear form if three riddles are answered correctly.
- A particularly powerful sloth demon, identified only as the Sloth demon, is the ruler of several demons who have invaded the Kinloch Hold during the main quest Broken Circle, and the side quest the Fade: Lost in Dreams which is set within its nightmarish demesne within the Fade.
Dragon Age II
- A sloth demon named Torpor is encountered during the quest Night Terrors. Hawke can either kill it or let him possess Feynriel in exchange for a reward.
- In Legacy, a sloth demon is bound in a chamber in the Grey Warden prison. Hawke can elect to fight the demon as part of the side quest Malcolm's Will.

Though combat with sloth demons is rare, they are to be treated similar to that of a desire demon; when encountered the sloth demon will significantly lower the amount of damage being taken allowing for quick and easy victory as witnessed during a fight using a Misdirection Hex.
Any confrontation with one of these shadowy spirits is very rare, as they always attempt to solve a situation with lies during conversation or through speaking aloud. They seduce their victims into sloth so it can feast on their life force.
